Blue Giraffe

In Seattle we have a sweet lady in our ward who served a service mission for our church in Uganda, Africa. Through her and her family they have organized a group that sells jewerly made by a family in Uganda. I have a string of beads that I just adore and all the proceeds go to the family in Africa. From this money, they have been able to support their family, increase their business, and finally buy a home. Go to this website- http://www.bluegiraffebeads.com/home.html for more information and spread the word. I think its great when you buy something and it benefits others in return....

"When you purchase a necklace from the Blue Giraffe Trading Company, you're not only buying a piece of beautiful handcrafted jewelry - you are becoming part of a global success story, one family at a time. Whether you are a family of one or many, you contribute by telling the story of how a single necklace represents the hard work, creativity and opportunity for another family a continent away."

Graduation!

On Monday it was official... I graduated from dental hygiene school! It was so fun to have a few of my siblings and my parents come to join in the celebration.  It feels so good to be done and now I am ready for my vacation to Seattle.
